Lower Salmon River Rafting

Idaho's Lower Salmon River Canyon's is big, it has broad white sandy beaches, splashy waves and rapids like Checkerboard, soaring canyons like the impressive Snow Hole Canyon and big fun for everyone.

With the warm weather and clear warm water, this trip is full of swimming opportunities along with being a great place to learn to row your own boat or maneuver an inflatable kayak.

Towering desert canyons hold wildlife like the desert bighorn sheep,  sounds of canyon wrens crescendo bouncing off the walls, while wide open starry nights beckon you to bed.  The famous "River of No Return" will be sure to have you returning as soon as you can with the Canyon's of the Lower Salmon River being the quintessential summer rafting trip on one of America's true river trips.

  • Big fun splashy rapids that are forgiving and lots of chances for swimming.
  • Lovely white sand beaches for camping with striking canyon scenery and wildlife.
  • Warm sunny weather to enjoy all the hiking opportunities to historic homesteads and mining camps.
  • Raft on America’s largest undammed river, the Salmon and end on the Snake River.
  • Our standard trip includes a jet boat shuttle ride out from the Snake River all the way straight into Lewiston. Experience the river in a whole new way!!

2020 SEASON

Thank you for your interest in Oregon River Experiences. We hope you are doing well and have been safe through this ordeal.  It is with a heavy heart we have made the difficult decision to suspend our 2020 season operations due to the uncertainty caused by the COVID-19 virus. We did not do this lightly, but for the safety and concern of you, our clients, family, and friends.

We think of a river trip as a way to escape into something different from your everyday life, and with the precautions required and changes to ensure your safety, we felt that the special river experience was not going to be the same.

We will be operating in 2021 stronger than ever and will have the multiday schedule available by July 1st, 2020.  We appreciate your support during these times and wish you a safe and fun-filled summer this year.

In the meantime, if you have questions regarding a trip with us for the 2021 season or need a recommendation for this season, please contact us at info@oregonriver.com (on the website, will be link directly into contact form).  If you want to call us at 503-563-1500 feel free, but we might be outside enjoying our summer.  Say hello if you see us out and about by your favorite river.

See you on the water in 2021,

The Oregon River Experiences Team
