Employment with O.R.E.
Oregon River Experiences expects to have openings on both our day-trip and multi-day trip crews for the 2018 season, for both part-time and full-time guides.
Founded in 1978, Oregon River Experiences conducts half day to nine day whitewater raft trips on ten rivers in Oregon and Idaho. One of the Northwest’s premier outfitters, O.R.E.’s participatory raft trips focus on experiential learning and personal involvement. We employ guides who possess the work ethic, maturity, social aptitude, integrity, leadership skills, and whitewater boating skills necessary to conduct high quality river trips.
How to apply
Experienced guides are invited to submit an employment application. You are also encouraged to send a resume to us (whether general or river-running related) along with your completed application form.
O.R.E. will contact selected applicants to arrange for interviews, which begin in March. Following an interview, successful applicants will be asked to attend an orientation weekend.

Can I apply for a job even if I have no prior experience (or not enough to call myself an experienced guide)?
The answer is yes. We provide training opportunities to those we decide we'd like to hire.
At O.R.E. we know that work ethic, social aptitude, upbeat personality, social skills, and similar strengths are the what make for a truly superior river guide. Good boating skills are essential of course, but these can typically be taught. So in looking for new members for our team we look first for people who have the mix of traits and skills that make them good candidates for the job, and then we provide training where needed.
